Biscuits and Chocolate Gravy
This recipe is such a fun, unique dessert! Creamy chocolate “gravy” tops flaky, buttery biscuits making a delicious sweet and salty combination.

Whisk
Medium-sized saucepan
- 1 16.3 oz tube refrigerated biscuits (8-count)
- 2 teaspoons sugar
- ¾ cup sugar
- ¼ cup cocoa powder
- 3 tablespoons flour
- 1 3/4 cups milk
- ¼ cup mini chocolate chips
- 2 tablespoons salted butter
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
- Whipped topping and chocolate curls, optional
Make the biscuits
Preheat oven to 350°F and place the biscuits on an ungreased baking sheet.
Sprinkle the biscuits with the 2 teaspoons sugar.
Bake according to the biscuit package instructions and remove to a wire rack.
For the Dessert
To make the gravy, whisk together the ¾ cup sugar, cocoa and flour in a medium-sized saucepan.
Whisk in the milk and place over a burner on medium heat.
Continue to cook and whisk until it begins to boil and thickens.
Remove from the heat and stir in the chocolate chips, butter, vanilla and salt until smooth.
Serve the chocolate gravy over the biscuits with a dollop of whipped topping and chocolate curls, if desired.
