Ingredients
2loaves(1 pound each) frozen white bread dough, thawed
½poundmild pork sausage
½poundspicy pork sausage
1.5cupsdiced fresh mushrooms
3green onions, sliced
3largeeggs, divided
2.5cups(10 ounces) shredded mozzarella cheese
1teaspoondried basil
1teaspoondried parsley flakes
1teaspoondried rosemary
1teaspoongarlic powder
Instructions
Baking the Bread
Cover dough and let rise in warm place until doubled.
Preheat oven to 350o. Line large baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.
In a large skillet, cook the sausage, mushrooms and onions over medium-high heat for 6-8 minutes or until meat is no longer pink, breaking up sausage into crumbles. Drain and allow to cool 5 minutes. Stir in two eggs, cheese, and seasonings.
Roll each loaf of dough into a 16x12-inch rectangle. Spread dough with sausage mixture to within 1 inch of edges. Roll up jell-roll style starting with a short side. Pinch seams very well to prevent unrolling while baking. Place loaves, seam side down, on prepared baking sheet.
In a small bowl, whisk the remaining egg. Brush evenly over loaves.
Bake 25-30 minutes or until golden brown. Slice and serve warm.
