Charleston Cheese & Bacon Dip

This addictive dip with be your next tailgate favorite! It features 3 kinds of cheese and is loaded with crispy bacon. Serve it up with bagel chips or buttery crackers.

Equipment

  • 9-inch pie plate
  • Nonstick cooking spray
  • Medium mixing bowl

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup shredded Monterey jack cheese
  • 2 green onions, finely chopped
  • 1 dash cayenne pepper
  • 8 butter crackers, crushed
  • 8 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 1 bag Bagel chips, for serving (7-ounce)

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350 F. Spray 9-inch pie plate with nonstick cooking spray and set aside.
  • In a medium bowl, combine the mayonnaise, cream cheese, cheddar cheese, Monterey jack cheese, green onions, and cayenne pepper. Mix well.
  • Transfer mixture to the prepared pie plate. Top with the cracker crumbs and bake until heated through, about 15 minutes.
  • Remove pan from oven and top with bacon. Serve immediately with bagel chips for dipping.

Notes

1. Using freshly shredded cheese in this recipe has better results than pre-shredded cheese.
2. Butter crackers or corn chips are also great for dipping.
