This cheesy garlic sourdough party bread is easy to make and looks fantastic! With just a few minutes of prep and 30 minutes in the oven, you and your friends will be able to enjoy this pull apart bread as a party appetizer or with your favorite Italian pasta dish.

Ingredients
1round loaf sourdough bread (about 1.5 lbs)
16ouncesMonterey jack cheese, sliced
1/2cupsalted butter, melted
2tablespoonslemon juice
1tablespoonDijon mustard
2teaspoonsgarlic powder
1/2teaspoononion powder
Minced fresh chives, optional
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350 oF. Line a large baking sheet with 2 large sheets of aluminum foil, aligning in a cross, with excess on all sides. Set aside.
Using a sharp bread knife, cut bread loaf into 1-inch slices to within ½-inch of bottom of loaf. Repeat cuts in the opposite direction, making a checkerboard appearance.
Insert cheese slices into all cuts and place loaf on prepared pan.
Mix melted butter with lemon juice, mustard, garlic powder and onion powder. Drizzle over bread.
Wrap aluminum foil around the bread and bake 20 minutes.
Unwrap and bake until cheese is melted and starting to brown, about 10 minutes longer.
Sprinkle with chives and serve immediately.
Notes
Using a store-bought loaf of sourdough makes this recipe fast and easy. Homemade sourdough bread can also be used.
