Ingredients
6Everything Bagels
1/2poundbacon, cooked
1(8oz) package cream cheese
2cups grated cheddar cheese
8eggs
2cupswhole milk
1/2cupheavy cream
1tablespoonchopped chives, plus more for garnish
1teaspoondry mustard
1/2teaspooncayenne pepper
1/2teaspoonsalt
Everything bagel seasoning (optional)
Instructions
Cut bagels into bite-sized chunks, and put them in a 9x13 buttered casserole dish.
Cut the cream cheese into chunks and distribute them all over the top of the bagels.
Sprinkle the grated cheese and cooked bacon on top. Set aside.
In a large bowl, whisk the eggs, milk, cream, chives, dry mustard, cayenne, and salt until well combined.
Pour egg mixture evenly over layers.
Cover the dish with foil and refrigerate for several hours or overnight.
When ready to bake, preheat oven to 350°F.
Bake, covered, for 45 minutes. Remove the foil and continue baking for 15-20 minutes or until the top is golden brown.
Cool for 15 minutes before serving.
If desired, sprinkle with extra bacon, chives, and everything bagel seasoning before serving.
