Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter
  • ¼ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon light brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon granulated sugar
  • 2 tablespoons whole milk
  • 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • ¼ teaspoon baking powder
  • 2 tablespoons semisweet chocolate chips, divided

Instructions

Making the Mini Chocolate Chip Microwave Cake

  • In 2 cup glass bowl, melt together butter and vanilla.
  • Add both sugars and mix well.
  • Add milk and mix well.
  • Add flour and baking powder; stir to combine, ensuring there are no flour chunks remaining.
  • Gently stir in 1 tablespoon chocolate chips. The sprinkle remaining 1 tablespoon over the top.
  • Microwave on high for 1 minute. Cool for about 30 seconds and then check that a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  • Serve warm, topped with ice cream or cool whip and a few extra chocolate chips, if desired.
