Ingredients
1½cupscavatappi pasta, cooked and drained
3tbspunsalted butter
3tbspall-purpose flour
1½cups heavy whipping cream
¼cup2% milk
1tspCajun seasoning
¼tspsalt
¼tsppepper
8ozshredded pepperjack cheese
6bacon strips, cooked and crumbled
1medium jalapeno pepper, seeded and chopped
1cup panko breadcrumbs
Instructions
In a 10-inch cast-iron skillet, heat butter over medium heat on stovetop. Stir in flour until blended. Cook and stir about 1-2 minutes.
Gradually whisk in cream, milk, Cajun seasoning, salt, and pepper. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Reduce heat, cook and stir until thickened, about 5 minutes. Stir in cheese until melted.
Add bacon, jalapeño, and cooked pasta. Cook and stir until heated through. Sprinkle breadcrumbs over top.
Broil 3-4 inches from heat until top is browned, about 30 seconds. Enjoy!
