Cheesy Garlic Braid
This Cheesy Garlic Braid is far more simple than it looks! It’s full of flavor and the perfect appetizer or side dish for any meal!

Ingredients
- 1 13.8 ounce tube refrigerated pizza crust
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 teaspoon + 1 pinch of garlic powder, divided
- 1 egg
- 1 tablespoon water
- 1 tablespoon grated parmesan
- 1 tablespoon salted butter
- Fresh parsley, optional
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375℉ and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Unroll the pizza dough onto the parchment paper and press into a rectangle.
- Sprinkle the mozzarella and cheddar cheese down the center third of the dough.
- Sprinkle ½ teaspoon garlic powder over the cheeses.
- Use a pizza cutter to cut each side of the braid into about 12 strips.
- Fold the strips of dough over the filling, alternating sides.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the egg and 1 tablespoon of water; brush the egg wash over the dough.
- Sprinkle the parmesan cheese over the braid then bake for 16-18 minutes, or until golden brown.
- Melt the butter; stir in the pinch of garlic powder and brush it over the cooked braid.
- Sprinkle with optional fresh parsley.
- Slice and serve warm with marinara sauce, if desired.
