of cake mix of your choice, plus ingredients as directed on the box

16-ounce
can ready-made frosting

hearts, red hots, sprinkles, colored sugars
Instructions
Making the cake
Preheat oven and mix cake batter as directed on package instructions.
Prepare an 8 x 8 x 2-inch square baking pan and 8-inch round baking pan.
Divide batter equally between the pans.
Bake as directed on cake mix package; let cakes cool completely.
To make heart shape
Set square cake on large cake platter with one point toward you.
Cut round cake in half.
Arrange each half with cut-side against top corners of square to form heart.
If one cake is higher than the other, even the cakes by slicing off a thin layer on bottom.
Spread frosting over cake and decorate with conversation hearts, red hots, sprinkles or colored sugars.
