8ouncespenne pasta, cooked al dente and drained
3tablespoonssalted butter
3tablespoonsall-purpose flour
½teaspoonblack pepper
2cups2% milk
1cuphalf-and-half
6ouncesshredded Swiss cheese
2ouncesshredded Colby cheese
2cupscubed fully cooked ham
Instructions
Preheat oven to 375°F. Spray 11x7 baking dish and set aside.
In a large saucepan, melt 3 tablespoons butter over medium heat. Whisk in flour and pepper until smooth. Gradually whisk in milk and half-and-half. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Cook and stir until thickened, about 1-2 minutes.
Gradually stir in Swiss and Colby cheese until melted. Add ham and cooked pasta; toss to coat. Transfer to the prepared pan.
In a small mixing bowl, mix the topping ingredients. Sprinkle over pasta.
Bake uncovered for 15-20 minutes, until bubbly and topping is browned.
