Baked Hawaiian Pizza Subs

Do you love pineapple on pizza? If so, you will love these baked Hawaiian pizza subs with Canadian bacon, mozzarella cheese, pineapple slices, bacon, and pizza sauce on sweet Hawaiian hoagie rolls.

  • Parchment paper

Ingredients

  • 6 Hawaiian hoagie rolls
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 12 sliced mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup pizza sauce
  • 30 small slices Canadian bacon
  • 3 thin slices fresh pineapple, cut into quarters
  • 6 slices bacon, cooked and chopped

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350 ° F. Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Arrange hoagie roll tops and bottoms on baking sheet. Brush with olive oil and toast in oven for 4-5 minutes. (This helps prevent the pizza sauce from making the rolls soggy.)
  • Layer 6 slices cheese, pizza sauce, Canadian bacon slices, pineapple, and chopped bacon on bottom of each hoagie roll. Top with remaining 6 slices cheese and hoagie roll tops. Secure with a toothpick.
  • Bake 10-15 minutes, or until golden brown and cheese is melted.
  • Serve hot.
