Candy Corn Trifles

- 13 x 9-inch cake pan
- Large bowl
- Small clear cups
Ingredients
- 1 box yellow cake mix + ingredients listed on box for preparation
- Orange food coloring
- 2 3.5 oz. boxes Instant Vanilla Pudding Mix
- Yellow Food Coloring
- 4 cups cold whole (or 2%) milk
- 1 8 oz. tub Whipped Topping
- Candy Corn, for garnish
Instructions
For the Candy Corn Trifles
- Preheat oven to 350°F and line a 13 x 9-inch cake pan with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, prepare the yellow cake mix as instructed on the box. Add several drops of orange food coloring until the mix is a vibrant orange.
- Pour the cake batter into the prepared cake pan, and bake according to box instructions for a 13x9-inch cake.
- Remove from oven and let cool completely.
- While the cake is cooling, prepare the pudding. In a large bowl, add the cold milk and the two packages of instant pudding; whisk until well-combined. Add several drops of yellow food coloring; whisk to combine. Place in refrigerator until ready to put together trifles.
- When the cake is cool, remove from the pan and cut into 1” cubes.
To assemble trifles
- Spoon pudding into the bottom of the cup, then add several orange cake cubes and top with a big dollop of whipped topping. Add a few pieces of candy corn on top and serve!
