- 1 box yellow cake mix + ingredients listed on box for preparation
- Orange food coloring
- 2 (3.4 ounce) boxes instant vanilla pudding mix
- 4 cups cold whole milk (or substitute 2%)
- Yellow food coloring
- 1 (8 ounce) tub whipped topping
- Candy corn, for garnish

Preheat oven to 350°F and line a 13 x 9-inch cake pan with parchment paper.

In a large bowl, prepare the yellow cake mix as instructed on the box. Add several drops of orange food coloring until the mix is a vibrant orange.

Pour the cake batter into the prepared cake pan, and bake according to box instructions for a 13×9-inch cake.

Remove from oven and let cool completely.

While the cake is cooling, prepare the pudding. In a large bowl, add the cold milk and the two packages of instant pudding; whisk until well-combined. Add several drops of yellow food coloring; whisk to combine. Place in refrigerator until ready to put together trifles.

When the cake is cool, remove from the pan and cut into 1” cubes.

Spoon pudding into the bottom of the cup, then add several orange cake cubes and top with a big dollop of whipped topping. Add a few pieces of candy corn on top and serve!
