Ingredient List
For the chewy chocolate brownies:
  • 1 ⅔ cups granulated sugar
  • ¾ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • ½ teaspoon baking powder
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 1 ⅓ cups all-purpose flour
  • ¾ cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • ¾ cup (1 ½ sticks) unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
  • confectioners sugar (optional)
Instructions
For the chewy chocolate brownies
  • Preheat oven to 350°F. Spray a 13×9-inch baking pan with nonstick cooking spray.

  • In a large bowl, mix together sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, salt, flour and chocolate chips.

  • In another large mixing bowl, stir together melted butter, eggs, water and vanilla extract.

  • Add the dry ingredient mixture to the wet ingredients and mix until combined.

  • Pour into prepared baking pan and bake for 20 to 24 minutes, or until a wooden toothpick inserted in the center comes out only slightly sticky.

  • Cool completely in pan on a wire cooling rack. Dust with confectioner’s sugar, if desired.
