- 2 large eggs
- 1 ½ cups whole milk
- 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- ¼ cup powdered sugar
- vegetable oil, for frying

In a large bowl, beat eggs. Add milk and sugar; mix well.

In a separate bowl, stir together flour, baking powder, and salt.

Add dry ingredients to wet ingredients and beat until smooth.

In a cast iron or other heavy skillet, heat 1 inch of vegetable oil to 375 degrees.

Pour about 1 cup batter through a funnel, making a circular and crisscross pattern to create a funnel cake.

Fry funnel cake until it reaches a deep golden brown (about 1 minute). Then carefully flip it over and fry on the other side. Remove the funnel cake to drain on a plate lined with paper towels.

Generously sprinkle with powdered sugar and serve hot.
