Ingredient List
For the bars:
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 1/3 cup peanut butter
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar (packed)
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup quick oats
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
For the Bars
  • Preheat the oven to 350oF. Spray 13×9” pan with nonstick cooking spray.

  • Using an electric mixer, cream together butter, peanut butter and sugars.

  • Add egg, flour, baking soda, salt and quick oats and mix well.

  • Gently stir in chocolate chips with mixing spoon, rather than electric mixer.

  • Spread in a greased 13×9” pan.

  • Bake for 18-20 minutes; cut into 18 bars while warm. Consider cutting these in longer, skinny bars because they are very similar to packaged granola bars.
