  • Small Skillet
  • Panini maker

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons sliced almonds
  • 2 slices sourdough bread
  • 2 tablespoons chocolate-hazelnut spread
  • 2 tablespoons marshmallow crème
  • 4 medium strawberries, sliced
  • 2 tablespoons salted butter, softened
  • 1 teaspoon powdered sugar

Instructions

  • Preheat panini maker.
  • Toast the almonds in a small skillet over medium heat until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes.
  • Spread one slice of the sourdough bread with a thick layer of chocolate-hazelnut spread. Spread the other slice with the marshmallow crème.
  • Layer the toasted almonds over the chocolate-hazelnut spread and layer the strawberries over the marshmallow crème. Place one over the other to close the sandwich.
  • Butter the top side of the sandwich and put it on the hot panini maker butter-side down. Butter the other side of the sandwich and close the lid.
  • Press and cook the sandwich until toasted and warmed through, about 1-2 minutes.
  • Remove from panini maker and dust with powdered sugar. Cut in half and serve!

Notes

No panini maker? No problem! Grill the sandwich in a skillet, laying another heavy skillet on top of the sandwich to press it together. Or try a bacon press if you have one of those.
