- 2 (3 ounce) boxes strawberry gelatin
- 2 cups boiling water
- 1 (16 ounce) container frozen sliced sweetened strawberries, thawed
- 2 cups crushed pretzels
- 1 stick (½ cup) unsalted butter, melted
- 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1 (8 ounce) tub whipped topping
-
Preheat oven to 350oF.
-
Spray a 13×9-inch baking dish with nonstick cooking spray.
-
In a medium bowl, dissolve gelatin in boiling water. Stir in strawberries. Cool in freezer while you prepare the remaining ingredients.
-
In 13×9-inch baking dish, mix the crushed pretzels, sugar and melted butter. Press evenly into the bottom of the dish. Bake 15 minutes. Remove from oven and cool on cooling rack.
-
In a second medium bowl, mix the softened cream cheese and powdered sugar with an electric mixer until smooth. Gently fold in cool whip.
-
Spread cream cheese mixture evenly over partially cooled crust, making sure to reach the edges completely to prevent the strawberry gelatin mixture from seeping to the bottom.
-
Next pour partially cooled strawberry gelatin topping over cream cheese filling.
-
Refrigerate 4-6 hours, or until firm. Cut into 12 pieces and serve chilled.
