Ingredient List
For the Trifle:
  • Two 3.9-ounce packages instant chocolate pudding mix
  • 4 cups cold milk
  • One 8-ounce package cream cheese, softened
  • One 7-ounce jar marshmallow crème
  • Two 8-ounce tubs whipped topping, divided
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla
  • Two 13.3-ounce packages Swiss rolls (total of 24 Swiss rolls; 12 packages of 2 each)
To make the trifle
  • In a large bowl, whisk together the chocolate pudding mix packets with the cold milk; set aside.

  • In another large bowl, combine the softened cream cheese and marshmallow crème.  Fold in all but 1 ½ cups of the whipped topping (reserve for later) and the vanilla.

  • Slice each of the Swiss rolls into 4 slices.

  • Assemble the trifle in this order:  ½ of the chocolate pudding, ½ of the marshmallow filling, ½ of the Swiss roll slices, the rest of the chocolate pudding, the rest of the marshmallow filling, most of the remaining Swiss roll slices (save a few for garnish), the remaining whipped topping and then the rest of the Swiss roll slices for garnish.
