- Two 3.9-ounce packages instant chocolate pudding mix
- 4 cups cold milk
- One 8-ounce package cream cheese, softened
- One 7-ounce jar marshmallow crème
- Two 8-ounce tubs whipped topping, divided
- 1 tablespoon vanilla
- Two 13.3-ounce packages Swiss rolls (total of 24 Swiss rolls; 12 packages of 2 each)

In a large bowl, whisk together the chocolate pudding mix packets with the cold milk; set aside.

In another large bowl, combine the softened cream cheese and marshmallow crème. Fold in all but 1 ½ cups of the whipped topping (reserve for later) and the vanilla.

Slice each of the Swiss rolls into 4 slices.

Assemble the trifle in this order: ½ of the chocolate pudding, ½ of the marshmallow filling, ½ of the Swiss roll slices, the rest of the chocolate pudding, the rest of the marshmallow filling, most of the remaining Swiss roll slices (save a few for garnish), the remaining whipped topping and then the rest of the Swiss roll slices for garnish.
