Ingredient List
For the Pinwheels:
  • 1 tube refrigerated pizza dough
  • ½ pound lean ground beef
  • 1 red pepper, diced
  • ¼ cup diced onion
  • 1/3 cup barbecue sauce
  • ¾ cup shredded cheese
  • cilantro, chopped for garnish (optional)
Instructions
For the Pinwheels
  • Heat oven to 375°F.

  • Brown ground beef with diced onion and red pepper. Drain excess grease.

  • Add barbecue sauce to browned ground beef and stir to combine. Set aside to cool.

  • Spray non-stick baking sheet with cooking spray.

  • Open refrigerated pizza crust and unroll onto baking sheet.  Using fingers, spread dough into larger rectangle into approximately a 15 x 8-inch rectangle.

    Spread ground beef mixture over crust, leaving a ½ -1 inch border around the dough.  Sprinkle shredded cheese and cilantro over the ground beef mixture.

  • Roll up pizza dough, starting at one of the long sides. Make sure meat mixture stays inside as you roll.

    Using a pizza cutter, cut roll into 10 equal sections. Place sections with cut side down on baking sheet.

  • Bake for 30-35 minutes or until golden brown.
