Biscuits and Chocolate Gravy
This recipe is such a fun, unique dessert! Creamy chocolate “gravy” tops flaky, buttery biscuits making a delicious sweet and salty combination.

Ingredients
- 1 16.3 oz tube refrigerated biscuits (8-count)
- 2 teaspoons sugar
- ¾ cup sugar
- ¼ cup cocoa powder
- 3 tablespoons flour
- 1 3/4 cups milk
- ¼ cup mini chocolate chips
- 2 tablespoons salted butter
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
- Whipped topping and chocolate curls, optional
Instructions
Make the biscuits
- Preheat oven to 350°F and place the biscuits on an ungreased baking sheet.
- Sprinkle the biscuits with the 2 teaspoons sugar.
- Bake according to the biscuit package instructions and remove to a wire rack.
For the Dessert
- To make the gravy, whisk together the ¾ cup sugar, cocoa and flour in a medium-sized saucepan.
- Whisk in the milk and place over a burner on medium heat.
- Continue to cook and whisk until it begins to boil and thickens.
- Remove from the heat and stir in the chocolate chips, butter, vanilla and salt until smooth.
- Serve the chocolate gravy over the biscuits with a dollop of whipped topping and chocolate curls, if desired.
