Garlicky Whole Wheat Croutons

Ingredients

  • 5 cups cubed whole wheat bread
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder

Instructions

For the croutons

  • Preheat oven to 375°F.
  • Cut bread into approximately 1 inch cubes.
  • Spread bread cubes on baking sheet.
  • Drizzle olive oil and sprinkle seasoning over bread cubes, stir until evenly distributed.
  • Bake for approximately 10-20 minutes, stirring every 5 minutes, until bread cubes turn golden brown. Baking time will be dependent on how dry bread cubes were before baking.
  • Remove from oven and let cool on sheet pan.
  • Serve over lettuce salad or on top of soup. Store leftovers in an airtight container.
