Meatball Bites

This isn't your ordinary meatball! With a doughy crust, cheesy goodness, and meaty center, the unique meatball bites will rock your world.

Equipment

  • 2 large baking sheets
  • Parchment paper
  • Large saucepan
  • Pizza cutter

Ingredients

  • 1 20 oz bag frozen meatballs
  • 1 24 ounce jar spaghetti sauce
  • 2 13.8 ounce tubes refrigerated pizza crust
  • 11 slices Mozzarella cheese, cut into thirds
  • ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
  • Cooked spaghetti noodles, optional

Instructions

For the Meatball Bites

  • Preheat oven to 375°FLine both baking sheets with parchment paper. 
  • Simmer meatballs and sauce in a large saucepan over medium-low heat until warmed through, about 5-8 minutes. 
  • Unroll the pizza crust and use your hands to shape into a 12-inch circle. Cut into 16 triangles. 
  • Place 1/3 slice of Mozzarella cheese on each triangle. Top with a sauce-covered meatball. Roll up starting with the wide end of the triangle and working toward the tip. Place on cookie sheet with the tip down. 
  • Repeat with remaining pizza dough to create a total of 32 meatball bites. 
  • Sprinkle the tops with grated Parmesan cheese and Italian seasoning. 
  • Bake for 20-22 minutes, or until golden brown. 
  • Serve as an appetizer with remaining spaghetti sauce for dipping; or serve as a main dish over cooked spaghetti noodles with remaining sauce.
