- 6 large fully-cooked sausage patties
- 6 eggs
- 12 frozen pre-packaged pancakes
- ¼ cup maple syrup
- 6 slices Cheddar cheese
- Additional maple syrup for dipping, optional
-
Preheat oven to 350°F and line a 13×9-inch pan with parchment paper for easy clean-up.
-
Warm the sausage patties according to the package instructions (skillet or microwave is fine).
-
Cook the six eggs in a skillet OR microwave one at a time in a greased round dish until cooked; set aside.
-
Place six of the pancakes onto the prepared pan and brush with half of the maple syrup.
-
On each of the six maple syrup-glazed pancakes, add a sausage patty, an egg and a slice of cheese.
-
Brush the remaining six pancakes with the rest of the syrup and place syrup side down to top the sandwiches.
-
Cover the pan with foil and bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the cheese is melted.
-
Serve with maple syrup, if desired.
-
Try changing it by trying this with different meats (sliced ham or bacon) or different cheeses (Pepper Jack or Smoked Provolone).
Add vegetables such as spinach for a little extra color and nutrition.
Try using waffles instead of pancakes for a different texture.
