- ¼ cup granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- ¼ teaspoon ground cinnamon or nutmeg
- 5 cups peeled, sliced, fresh peaches ( 5 – 6 large)
- ½ cup white whole wheat flour
- ½ cup all-purpose flour
- ½ cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- ⅓ cup cold margarine or butter
- 1 large egg, beaten
- Vanilla ice cream, for serving (Optional)

Preheat oven to 375°F. Spray with nonstick spray a 11” x 7” x 2” baking dish.

In large bowl, whisk sugar, cornstarch and cinnamon or nutmeg.

Add peaches; stir to coat.

Pour peaches and juices into baking dish.

In large bowl, whisk together whole wheat flour, all-purpose flour, sugar, baking powder and salt.

Cut in the margarine or butter until mixture resemble fine crumbs.

Stir in the egg and mix until combined and crumbly.

Sprinkle crumb topping evenly over peaches.

Bake 35 – 40 minutes, or until peaches are bubbling and topping is golden-brown.

Serve warm or cold, with ice cream, if desired.
