Simple Deviled Egg Dip

Ingredients
- 6 large eggs
- â…“ cup mayonnaise
- ½ teaspoon vinegar
- 2 teaspoons mustard
- 1 teaspoon granulated sugar
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper, plus more for garnishing
- â…› teaspoon paprika, plus more for garnishing
- Chives, for garnish
Instructions
- Place eggs in saucepan large enough to hold them in single layer. Add cold water to cover eggs by 1 inch. Cover with lid. Heat over high heat just to boiling.
- Remove pan from burner. Let eggs stand in hot water about 10 minutes.
- Transfer eggs to a bowl of ice water. Let eggs cool completely, about 10 minutes.
- Peel eggs under cool running water and halve lengthwise. Spoon yolks into a large bowl and set aside. Chop egg whites into small thin strips and set aside.
- Add mayonnaise, vinegar, mustard, sugar, salt, pepper and paprika to the bowl with egg yolks and whisk until completely combined with no yolk chunks remaining, about 1 minute. Add reserved egg whites; fold until combined.
- Transfer to a serving bowl and garnish with additional black pepper, paprika and chives. Serve with crackers, pretzels or toasted baguette slices.
Notes
- For extra flavor add a dash of hot sauce or a tablespoon of sweet pickle relish.
- Add bacon and cheese for a hearty twist.
