Wheat Beer Braised Brats

Ingredients
- 2 tablespoon butter
- 1 medium yellow onion, thinly sliced
- 1 – 12 ounce can wheat beer
- 5 bratwurst links
- Brat or hot dog buns
Instructions
For the beer braised brats
- Place a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add the butter and once melted, sauté the onions until they begin to caramelize.
- Pour the beer into the skillet and then add the brats.
- Bring to a boil and then simmer until the internal temperature of the brats reaches 160°F, about 10-14 minutes.
- Sear on a hot grill (or an empty skillet), if desired.
- Serve on buns.
