Ingredient List
For the beer braised brats:
  • 2 tablespoon butter
  • 1 medium yellow onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 – 12 ounce can wheat beer
  • 5 bratwurst links
  • Brat or hot dog buns
For the beer braised brats
  • Place a large skillet over medium-high heat.

  • Add the butter and once melted, sauté the onions until they begin to caramelize.

  • Pour the beer into the skillet and then add the brats.

  • Bring to a boil and then simmer until the internal temperature of the brats reaches 160°F, about 10-14 minutes.

  • Sear on a hot grill (or an empty skillet), if desired.

  • Serve on buns.
