Instructions:

Make your DIY Ornaments:

  1. Combine salt and flour; add water a little at a time. Mix.
  2. Knead until a smooth dough forms.
  3. Roll out dough to ½-inch thickness. Cut into circles or other shapes.
  4. Make your handprint/footprint. Be sure to wash your hands and feet when you’re done! Flour is a raw ingredient. Learn more about Consumer Food Safety and handling raw flour.
  5. Poke a hole in the top for the ribbon. Don’t forget this step, because you won’t be able to do it after it bakes!
  6. Bake at 200°F for 3 or more hours until dried all the way through.
  7. Let cool for a few hours before painting.
  8. Put the ribbon through the hole in the top to make an ornament.

VOILA! A cute addition to your holiday ornament collection!
