Apple Egg Rolls

Ingredients
- 8 egg roll wrappers
- 1 21 oz can apple pie filling
- 1 eggs
- 1 tablespoon water
- Oil for frying
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- Caramel sauce for dipping
Instructions
For the Apple Egg Rolls
- Spoon about ¼ cup of the apple pie filling onto the center of each egg roll wrapper.
- In a small bowl, use a fork to combine the egg and water to make an egg wash.
- Brush the egg wash on the outside edges of the wrapper and fold according to the package instructions on the egg roll wrappers.
- Heat 1 ½ inches of vegetable oil in a large skillet to 350F.
- Once the oil is hot, fry 4 egg rolls at a time for 3-5 minutes or until golden brown; remove from the oil.
- In a shallow dish, combine the sugar and cinnamon.
- Place the hot egg rolls into the cinnamon sugar mixture and coat on all sides.
- Serve warm with caramel sauce.
- Helpful hints:
- Use a homemade apple pie filling instead of a can if you prefer
- Try “frying” in the air fryer for a lighter option
