Baked Spaghetti and Meatballs
Baked Spaghetti and Meatballs is an easy make-ahead meal that can go from fridge to oven to table in only 40 minutes. Equipment
- 13 x 9 baking dish
- Nonstick cooking spray
- Large pot
Ingredients
- 12 ounces Spaghetti noodles
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 tablespoon minced onion
- 1 tablespoon minced garlic
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 16 ounces frozen fully-cooked meatballs
- 1 jar (24 oz) pasta sauce
- 1 cup shredded Mozzarella cheese
- ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions
For the Pasta
- In a large pot, cook spaghetti noodles according to package instructions. Drain; reserving ½ cup pasta water.
- Transfer drained pasta to 13x9 baking dish, sprayed with nonstick cooking spray. Toss pasta with olive oil, minced onion, minced garlic, and Italian seasoning.
- Arrange meatballs over the top of pasta. Top with pasta sauce and reserved pasta water. Gently toss until meatballs and pasta are fully coated with sauce.
- Sprinkle Mozzarella and Parmesan cheese on top.
- Cover with foil and refrigerate until ready to bake.
- To bake, remove from the refrigerator and allow to come to room temperature while preheating oven to 350o. Bake covered for 30 minutes; uncover and bake an additional 5-10 minutes, or until hot and bubbly.
