- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 medium-sized bell pepper
- 1 small onion
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 24 oz. marinara sauce
- 4 cans (10 count) biscuit dough
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 tablespoon garlic powder
- 2 tablespoons Italian seasoning
-
Fully cook and drain fat off 1 pound of ground beef.
-
Finely dice the bell pepper and onion.
-
In a mixing bowl combine hamburger, pepper, onion, cheese and 1 cup of marinara sauce. Set aside.
-
Open the cans of biscuit dough. Take a biscuit and flatten it with your hands (or a rolling pin) until it has doubled in size (approximate the size of your palm).
-
Place 1 tablespoon of the ground beef mixture in the middle of the biscuit dough. Pull the edges up over the hamburger and pinch together.
-
Place the biscuit pinched-side down on a greased cookie sheet. Repeat for each remaining biscuit.
-
Melt the butter in a microwave safe dish. Brush over the top of each roll. Sprinkle the rolls with garlic powder and Italian seasoning.
-
Bake at 400°F for 11-14 minutes. Serve with remaining marinara sauce for dipping.
