Instructions
For the Eggs in a Basket
  • Use football-themed cookie cutters to remove the middle portions of each slice of bread and set aside.

BONUS:  The middle, set-aside portions of bread make great French Toast.

  • Carefully spread butter or margarine on the each side of the newly cut bread slices.

  • Place the bread slice on a preheated griddle.

  • Crack 1 egg into the middle, cut-out portion.

  • When the egg is halfway cooked through (you can’t see the griddle through the egg white), flip the entire bread slice over and cook an additional 1-2 minutes. Serve warm.

  • Gameday Egg in a Nest is a quick, easy and hearty breakfast! Toasted bread and fried eggs are a delicious combination to kick off your game day celebrations. Use sports-themed cookie cutters to add a festive flair.
