- 13" x 9" baking dish
- Non-stick cooking spray
- Aluminum foil
Ingredients
- 2 pounds ground beef
- 1/2 onion, diced (approx. 1/3 cup)
- 3 teaspoons parsley
- 1 teaspoon oregano
- 3 8 oz cans tomato sauce
- 12 ounces spaghetti
- 1 24 oz carton cottage cheese
- 1 cup mozzarella cheese
- 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese
Instructions
For the casserole
- Preheat oven to 350°F.
- In a large skillet, brown and drain ground beef and onions.
- Add parsley, oregano and tomato sauce; simmer 3-4 minutes.
- Cook spaghetti according to package directions; drain.
- Lightly spray a 13" x 9" casserole dish with non-stick cooking spray. Layer with half of each ingredient, starting with the spaghetti, then meat sauce, cottage cheese and mozzarella cheese.
- Repeat layers. Sprinkle Parmesan cheese over top. Cover with aluminum foil.
- Bake for 35 to 40 minutes. Can be frozen and baked later. If frozen, allow 1 ½ hours to heat.
