How to Make Homemade Ice Cream Sandwiches
Our Ice Cream Sandwiches are the perfect no-bake summer dessert. Bring along to picnics, pool parties, birthdays, or any warm-weather gathering on a hot summer day. Made with creamy ice cream between graham crackers, these frozen treats come together with just 20 minutes of prep before chilling in the freezer.
Individually wrapped, these homemade ice cream sandwiches are easy to transport, serve, and store, making them an ideal make-ahead dessert. Customize them with your favorite ice cream flavors and toppings for a fun treat everyone will love.
How to Store Homemade Ice Cream Sandwiches
To keep your homemade ice cream sandwiches looking their best, place each sandwich in the freezer as soon as it's assembled. Freezing them as you go helps prevent the ice cream from melting while you finish the batch.
Once frozen, wrap each sandwich in parchment paper, wax paper or plastic wrap and store them in an airtight container or freezer bag. Homemade ice cream sandwiches will keep well in the freezer for up to 2 months. For the best texture, let them sit at room temperature for 2 to 3 minutes before enjoying.
